Remembrance Day – Lest We Forget!

It’s another Monday and today is Remembrance Day.

Remembrance Day is observed on 11 November in most countries to recall the end of hostilities of First World War on that date in 1918.

World War I was a significant turning point in the political, cultural, economic, and social climate of the world.

As we remember today, I am reminded of so many internal war and struggle that we go through.

I’m always looking at how I can serve in a bigger and more impactful way. So far this I know  about you.

I know that,  you want to have a sense of purpose, significance, you need to feel important and you need to be able to control your circumstances.

When there is so much confusion, frustration and doubt we don’t feel safe, just like the times of war we worry about “what might happen next”.

So just between you and me… let’s be real.

When was the last time you feared about “what would happen next if…”

If you’re scared of taking a big leap or trying something new, you might have thought like this recently.

Maybe you need some encouragement today.

This is from Me to You!

Listen, the fear never goes away. The only difference is that you must not let it stop you, because it can.

You are free to choose your response. Instead of asking “why is this happening to me” ask “what do I need to do differently” and … Activate your greatness…

In so many countries today, it’s either a statutory or public holiday, where we choose to remember victory over war.

Maybe you’re someone who stops yourself from doing the thing that you need to do, the thing that your intuition tells you to do, the thing that will get you to where you want to go.

Because there’s fear, you worry.

As humans, we’re always afraid of what is on the other side.

Scared to try and then fail.

Lest we forget…

You were made for greatness…

You were made to make things happen.

And maybe there’s this longing inside of you that’s begging you to move toward that thing that you want. And for so long, you have been trying to ignore it.

Today is Remembrance Day. What will you remember?

One thing I know for sure is one day we will all be remembered.

I…will like to be remembered for the impact and difference I made in the world.

Let’s do it together. I’ll hold your hand if you hold mine. Let’s be remembered for IMPACT…

Don’t be scared.

Don’t let the things you can do something about interfere with the things that you were created to deal with.

Start engaging in conversations and taking actions that would create your impact.

I encourage you to be proactive, make your life a product of your values and your decisions, not your feelings and condition. If you look at your condition or situation you might feel you are not worth it, or you don’t deserve it.

Sometimes fear makes us think that there is no way out, just like Esther in the old testament instead of thinking false expectation (if I go to the kings presence I will perish because the King has not sent for me) think true expectation (I will go even though I am afraid, I will do whatever it takes, if I perish I perish).

So, as we remember today, “Lest we forget” also that we have the capability to take responsibility for our lives.

As you observe a moment of silence to remember our war heroes for their sacrifice and courage during times of war and conflict, I want you to remember the warrior inside YOU.

With ‘purpose and gratitude’
