#faithspeaks:PUT PRIORITY ON YOUR HEALTH AND WELLNESS Dr. Johnson IyiladeRecently, I have heard of so many bad news stories of people that I know who died prematurely. It is heartbreaking and sad. As humans, oftentimes we put high priority on every other thing in life but ignore our physical and emotional health and wellness. As you step into this new week, here is God’s word for you:"Put priority on your health and wellness."3 John 1:2 says:“I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.”Your health is wealth, don’t ignore it. Anything that takes your physical and emotional health away is taking your life away. The moment you lose your health, you’ve lost everything else. Take care of your body and stay healthy mentally and spiritually as well. This week, I want to encourage you to:>> Make your physical and emotional health and wellness an important priority in the midst of busyness of life and work. Balance work and rest.>> Be intentional in eating healthy foods. If you put garbage in your body, it is garbage that will come out of it.>> Cultivate the habit of having regular daily exercise to keep your body healthy and strong.>> Go for regular medical checkups. As you step into this new week:I pray that all will go well with you and that you will be in good health physically, emotionally, and spiritually. If there is any health condition or issue you are dealing with, I declare divine healing and restoration over you in Jesus’ name. As you prioritize your health and wellness, I declare you will not die prematurely but live long to fulfill your purpose and mission on earth in Jesus’ name (Amen).Have a healthy and productive new week!#newweek #prayers #blessings #grace #abundance ... FAITH FOR DAILY LIVING DEVOTIONALby Dr. Johnson IyiladeI AM WRESTLING IN PRAYER FOR YOU “Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured” – Col. 4:12 Epaphras, the man mentioned in our text today, is believed to be a native of Colossae, as well as an evangelist and minister of the gospel to the Colossian Church. In the Bible, we don’t really know so much about him, but one significant thing that we know about him in the text today is that he is someone who wrestles and labour in prayer for the people of God. Even though Epaphras was no longer physically present in the Colossians church, where he started his journey, he always remembered them in his prayers. We see Apostle Paul highlighting the same persistent prayer for the Colossian church earlier in Colossian 1:19:“We have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will.” Beloved, we all have people that God has placed under our care, to whom we have the spiritual obligation and responsibility to pray for. The people you are praying for may not be with you physically or be around you, but distance is no barrier to the power and impact of your prayer over them. Today, I encourage you to take a moment to remember people in your life and what they may be going through in life. It may be your mentees, your children, your friends, your co-workers, your family, or your loved ones. Be to them like Epaphras and wrestle with them in prayer. Prayer for divine restoration of whatever they might have lost. POINTS TO PONDER: We all have people that God has placed under our care that we love to whom we have a spiritual responsibility to pray for regularly. PRAYER AND CONFESSION OF FAITH: Lord, help us to pray regularly and faithfully for all the people you have placed in our lives in Jesus name (Amen) FURTHER READING: John 17:9; Romans 1:9-10; Colossians 1:9 ... FAITH FOR DAILY LIVING DEVOTIONALBy Dr. Johnson Iyilade PRAY FOR HEALING AND RESTORATION‬‬"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” – 2 Chronicles 7:14There are so many broken things in our world today, but one of the ways to bring divine restoration to every broken thing in our world today is to seek God’s face in the place of prayer. Prayer is a powerful weapon in the realm of the spirit that can disarm every attack and weapon of the enemy. In our text today, God promises to bring healing and restoration when we pray. Now, certain conditions must be met for healing and restoration to happen. Here are two of them:First, we must come before God with a humble heart. Humility is admitting that you are not in control of your life, you need help from God. When you are humble, you have opened your heart in the place of prayer to receive help, support, and blessing from God (ref: Isaiah 66:2). God resists the proud but gives more grace to the humble (ref: James 4:6-8).Second, you must bring your issue before God in prayer and ask for help. As a parent, there are things my kids need but unless they ask me, I don’t know they need it. So, asking is key to receiving. Now it doesn’t mean everything my kids ask for, I give to them. You may also ask God for everything, but God will only give you what you need and is in alignment with His will and purpose for your life. Finally, according to James 5:13-15, if anyone among us is in trouble, or is sick, the person can pray or come to the throne of grace with other believers in the place of prayer. The prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well and the Lord will raise them up.POINT TO PONDER: The prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well and the Lord will raise them up.PRAYER AND CONFESSION OF FAITH: Lord, we come before your throne of Grace with a humble heart to seek your face for help in our moment of need in Jesus’ name (Amen)FURTHER READINGS: James 5:13-15; Matt 7:7-12; James 4:6-8; Isaiah 66:2 ...
